infantry 60mm by 30mm?

I use 60mm frontage x 25mm for infantry, x 50mm for cavalry, x80mm for artillery.  Piquet Master rules is more or less an Imperial equivalent to what I use. Cartouche 2 suggests that it doesn't matter what sizes you use.but it looks better if the frontages at least are consistent.

one reason for keeping a standard 60mm frontage is that this is a common size used in many rulesets especially WRG

I'm the same as Adam except for Cavalry where I use 60*60, I think we both use double depth infantry for LoA and ECW ?

All the PK sets have slightly different sizes but all are around 60mm, the first Archon set, and maybe PK itself, was something like 2.25in * 1in (56mm * 25mm) so 60mm was standarised on as close enough and a nice round number and, as Nick says, matching WRG, so little or no rebasing required for different rule sets.  I think Archon 2 went for 30mm depth infantry.

well i have 60mm by 30mm already.

me and les are the same on that scale.

i was unsure about the rest cav / artillery, thanks for clarifying.

will have to get some cav and art bases at salute :)
