Ooops! As per Blog I messed up on the rosters and didn't write down one of Nick's few units. We can take that as a practise game and refight it (Nick might even want to general his forces) Or we can increase the number of "Florins" per point to 15 as we discussed and fight a slightly larger version of the battle. Either way Spendius (Nick) isn't dead.

Replay of this game posted on the blog. I have made assumptions about the "plan" adopted by the players representing Carthage but if they have anything to add or anything learned from the course of thhe battle I'd like to hear it...

I wasn't given any instructions as to what to do, but I assumed the idea was to attack and destroy the rebels (at no time was I given any indication that this 'plan' was incorrect). I didn't expect the General in charge (?) to attempt to commit suicide though ! In all seriousness though, I don't think a plan would have helped with the initiative as it was and the order of the cards drawn so, much as I'd love to, I can't really blame Jim for being a moron, apart from the General thing, although if the initiative/cards had been different it could have been a master stroke. i wouldn't have set up like he did but it would only have been minor differences and the sudden downgrading of half the army to 'absolute cack' wasn't the most helpful thing that could have happened, leaving us with only one unit above a d6 which lost (see General above) anyway. Morale of this story - don't let Jim throw any dice ever, at all, ever, never, ever, nowhere near, ever, never, have I said don't let Jim throw any dice ? P.S when I fight the rebels, he's a rebel or I'm taking my troops and going home. P.P.S In fact when we fight anything again he's on the other side or I'm taking my troops and going home.

P.P.P.S Anything, ever, at all, even if I don't have any troops of my own. Read the report earlier by the way, through the LoA site.
