Hi Keith, sorry about the delay, I have dug out some of the images that I used to create banners for the Christian Ghassanid Arabs below: The main standard, carried with their general, was a portion of this 6th century icon,
It's from Egypt but is the right sort of period. Many of the others were based on Ghassanid rock art, these were the ones printed out and then painted over:
