You will have to circulate this on an email to make sure that Nick gets it... What size are infantry units in case I get inspired to paint up a few more militia?

Alternatively, you could just make up your organisation, sections in WW2 varied from 8 to 12 officially depending on nationality, period etc. Most were as Jim notes above, but in a militia unit if 14 men turned up...........

P.S it was really 'Fire Teams' that were important, normally 4 men or 2 and a light automatic weapon, made up into sections for admin/C&C, then platoons, then companies, then battalions, nearly always 3 of each to the next level plus attached HQ/support. Even at higher levals, it was nearly always 3, British 'square' brigades being an exception which contained 4 regiments, hence 'square'.

Yeah I am aware of the typical infantry organsation for the period and with wastage there could be almost any number in a "squad" - down to just one fireteam I suppose. Just checking if it is important for the rules that there be a particular number (like Donnybrook.)

not important as per the 'rules' for squad size, any figures extra will be those extra i just turned up 'joes'

I'm OK for pretty much all the dates above. Adam is away in Amsterdam at the moment (Wedding anniversary), so don't expect a reply from him soon. I think he said he would be OK for the day after SALUTE (26th on the above list), so book that, if it's wrong, it's my bad, I'll turn up anyway. What will we do as a game ? An ancient can be bashed up pretty quickly. Met someone you know at the Battle Day, Ernie (?), offered you a lift to SALUTE ? Ad gave him the site address so he may pop along sometime. How are you anyway ?

I can do: 26/4, 31/5, 7/6 others clash withESAR training but I am always happy to loan figures on dates I cannot get to.

I had a few different ideas but unplanned 2 weeks in Dubai have put paid to that! (I'll write up some future scenarios whilst I kick my heels in my hotel room...)
