"Little boy, come here and see what Uncle Nicholas has in his box of precious things." (That's Nick that is, to a tee.) Turns out it was Zulus, farsands of 'em! (Or to be more accurate a couple of dozen painted Perry Ansar tribesmen.) Added to these we have (thanks to Les' "problem" with Ebay) a shed load of British troops ready for action. Probably just need a few more natives and we are ready to try a new period! In other news I have posted a link to Colonerl Tremorden Rederring's page... click here

Just found some under coated Hadendowa types and splashed a bit of paint on them. Really nice and quick to do, i should be able to knock out a couple of boxes in less than a year I'd have thought! If Les can make a list of his Imperialist lackeys we can work out a game to try these out...

Get painting then, more than enough 'Imperial lackies' to deal with a mere couple of boxes ! Probably still have more figures even then and the Gardner guns will have some fun, for a few seconds.......sounds like it could be a job for the Bas Cabal.

Right, had a look and I have PAINTED - 3 Regiments of 36 figs, 2 of 24, 3 light guns and 3 Naval Brigade Gardener Guns.

Right, there's a challenge. I will get together the natives to take them on.

What rules were you thinking of, I think I've the PK version, can't think of the name though. If we use them, I've got 6 double based units. Wont need much more than 18-24 Native units, we could re-cycle them.

I have the Two Fat Lardiesrules - "They Don't Like it Up 'Em" and the Pony Wars rules that were the basis for Peter Gilders classic games. I am going to try a meld of the two systems as they have the same sort of spirit about them. I like the idea of the players all "cooperating as imperial commanders and the natives being randomly driven. TDLIUE has imperialist infantry in four base units so that fits in well with PK if we decide to give them a try. I think you may be over-estimating the powers of 6 companies of infantry lost in the dessert and you are certainly over estimating our abilities of handling them!

Fire, Fire, Fire isn't it ? I've seen Zulu, it worked for them. (I've also seen Zulu Dawn, bit of a bummer). Was rather hoping the Gardener guns would help somewhat.

Platoon or volley or should we fix bayon.... too late!

200 years earlier the bayonet thing would have been an issue, but we'd perfected the socket bayonet by this time. Now, getting the Ammo boxes open, that was a real poser.........

Not whilst marching apparently.... In 2FL rules the ammo boxes are strapped to camels. Now that sounds like a recipe for disaster!

Shoul be OK as long as we don't have Simon attempting open the locks.
