further discussion needed on the rules, im thinking of designing a set based on several that ive played would like to run these past people. emphasis on 1 tank = 1 tank and infantry elements being sections (3 per platoon.) play to be based on large scale tactical battles involving battalion plus sized battles ive got idea's for several things like pre game battle plan orders. free flowing 'zones' (upto a 12" by 8" area for 6mm. for a company sized unit.) for units to freely operate in with simple instructions like defend this area until x damage sustained then retreat to rear area 'x' and either form new defensive position or consolidate and form new battlegroup (kampfgruppe) i've got a few idea's for keeping alot of miniatures off table for FOW purposes and being replaced with something akin to iabsm's blinds using this idea to manouver reserve units up on an extended map (play area being central with expanded zones nearby for both attacker and defender alike.) as well as on the gameplay table. movement to be a system similar to piquet (but with more cards with indivudual units (company level?) names on them) with cards and initative chits using the dominoes seems to work quite well. i figure a simultaneous system can be done in this way combat using D12 which will allow a range wide enough over D6 systems to factor in unit experience with die modifiers food for thought eh gents

i ran up some morale rules and modifiers last night. i also ran up a working tabletop plus surrounding regions (flanks, rear & rear-flanks and re-inforcement area.) map im thinking we should make this a saturday&sunday game and im hoping the shed will be done and you guys can come here for this. that'll mean an 8 by 4 tabletop i could even referee it for you guys that'd be fun for me to sort some rules out beforehand im also thinking we should have a small run through game 1st with a couple of companies of inf and a few afv's with some supporting artillery maybe i umpire this and then play in the planned session? i dunno im prolly rambling now

Definitely want to try new rules with a smaller setup as that allows several restarts when you (inevitably) find something that doesn't work. Also a good motivator to get figures + terrain painted.

im gonna bring some 1/72nd stuff today see if we cant sort a game out for later to run through, also have apocalypse if/when we defeat the enemy i need my own set of wrg since they had alot of good stuff except that clunky c&c chunk i like the ground scale, 1 inch = 50 metres that works great for a large table and formation

gonna have special units... sniper teams, legendary units (like the machine gunners at mons in ww1 for instance (3 cold stream guards with machine guns holding up a division of germans) or the irish at anzio throwing rocks that sort of thing.

That font was carefully selected as being the very first one I saw. Any suggestions for others happily received.
